COVID-19 Protocols
Dear Patients,
Following on from the Federal Government's announcement regarding mandatory quarantine for people returning to Australia from any overseas location we will be enforcing the below policy at the Practice. The policy and procedure that we put in place is there to protect our most vulnerable and ensure we can continue to provide routine medical care throughout this evolving situation. From 16th March 2020:
If you have recently returned from overseas travel, you will not be able to be seen at the Practice until 14 days has passed. This includes if you have arrived in Australia in the last week or so. If you are in this category and require medical care, not coronavirus testing, then please phone the Practice and we may be able to offer a telephone consultation.
If you have recently travelled and are showing symptoms of coronavirus you can either phone the Practice and we can arrange a telephone consultation with one of our GPs OR attend the fever clinics setup at the Emergency Departments of the Royal Brisbane Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital or Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Do not attend the Practice if you have concerns you may have coronavirus or have arrived/returned to Australia within the last 14 days.
Kind regards,
Chermside Wavell Family Practice
